تدور أحداث الفيلم حول كارثيك (فرحان أختر) شاب منطو يعاني من قلق دائم بسبب حادث تعرض له في طفولته حيث كان يتم تعذيبه من شقيقه الأكبر والنهاية موت شقيقه بالخطأ في بئر
يحب كارثيك زميلته في العمل شونالي موخرجي (ديبيكا باديكون) سراً على الرغم من أنها تجهل وجوده وبعد تعرضه للسخرية من مديره في العمل يقرر كارثيك الانتحار
